Trustpilot not trustworthy?

Further to my last post I researched some more on Trustpilot. Looks like they have some issues of their own AND this also explains why they deleted all thelotter negative reviews but happily accepted all the fake positive ones.

Oh of course because thelotter is the only one that needs to explain why that positive review is a customer they have a record of!

Trustpilot - spot the irony in the title - prizes galore.

So...it's really just another PAID ADVERTISING SITE but worse, it tries to seem objective, and fair. Thelotter.com case is the perfect example of how this "business" works.

Trustpilot - WOW

Shake my head.

Trustpilot deleting negative thelotter reviews instigated by thelotter? Mysterious "positive" posts being posted to replace them

I received notice from someone that they had their experience with thelotter deleted from Trustpilot.

Reason? thelotter complained, Trustpilot listened. Reason they gave him?

"thelotter has no record of you"

Jaw hits floor. WTF? This is how Trustpilot allows reviews to be posted, or not?

By taking the word of thelotter?

As he says, rightly, this also brings into question privacy issues - what exactly is Trustpilot sharing with "businesses" to earn their trust? Personal emails of complainants?

I just checked Trustpilot and a few other sources: it looks like Trustpilot has taken down at least 7 reviews that were negative and a host of new positive reviews are starting to appear on the Trustpilot page.

Miraculous?

Or not.

Clearly "Trustpilot" should change its name before we all puke collectively.

PS here are some of the ones not FULLY deleted by Trustpilot yet, but shows the systematic deletion of MANY negative reviews by Trustpilot
